About Coriander Seed
Coriander Seed (Coriandrum sativum) is proudly sourced from South Africa. It has a slightly pungent but sweet and spicy fragrance. Coriander Seed essential oil is a warm oil and also a top note. The oil has a spicy taste but rather don’t taste it straight from the bottle. You can take it internally if done so responsibly. See our responsible usage guide here.
Main Chemical Compounds
The main chemical compounds found in our Coriander Seed essential oil are linalool (between 40-80%), γ-terpinene (up to 13%), α-pinene (up to 7%). These are also present but to a lesser extend: camphor, decanal geranyl acetate, limonene, geraniol, camphene, and D-limonene. In studies, linalool prove to posess potential sedative qualities when inhaled, linalool can help promote relaxation and enhance sleep quality.

How do I use Coriander Seed essential oil?
This oil can be added to a capsule – 2 drops maximum, filled with Fractionated Coconut Oil. It can be used in culinary recipes such as in red meat dishes, sauces and even salad dressing. Use one drop at a time and increase if you feel it needs more. Remember, less is more with essential oil.
When using medicinally in a roller bottle for the digestive system, always dilute well in a carrier oil.
