Frankincense
R90.00 – R765.00
Frankincense (Boswellia serrata) – we source this one from India – also called Olibanum. Used traditionally in Indian culture and Ayurvedic medicine, it was no surprise that this was a top choice for us too. It has a fresh, sweet and wood-like scent. Often, the resin is used as a burnt incense. Frankincense essential oil is a warm oil and also a base note. You can take it internally, if done responsibly. See our responsible usage guide here. In a carrier oil, it has a strong resin-wood-herbaceous taste.
