OilGrow’s pure Pomegranate Seed Oil is an excellent carrier oil to use with our pure essential oils.  It is well known to help increase the body’s ability to heal from inflammation. It is rich in anti-oxidants thus increases collagen production and reduce its breakdown which helps reduce signs of aging. This oil stimulates keratinocytes production in your cells. In turn this helps rejuvenate your skin and reverse skin damage.

This wonderful carrier oil is also a hair strengthener for thick and healthy hair. Because it is so full of nutrients it feeds the scalp, follicles and hair.  It naturally makes vessels stronger and helps to increase circulation which in turn encourages hair growth. Pomegranate seed oil balances the scalp’s pH – so will balance out oil production. It also can help clear away any impurities and product build-up. And will help fight bacteria on the scalp. Scalp inflammation and redness will reduce.  The anti-bacterial properties will help itchy conditions such as psoriasis and eczema also.

Pomegranate seed oil’s main constituent is punicic acid (or Omeaga 5) – an essential fatty acid. This is the major component responsible for its anti-inflammatory properties (anti-aging).  This simply means it is really wonderful food for your skin, scalp and hair.

How do you use it? Add a few drops to a damp scalp.  Work section for section and rub it in with your finger tips. Make a home-made face serum along with Pomegranate seed oil, Rosehip, Kalahari Melon Seed, Carrot Seed and Lavender essential oils.  Use 4 drops a day, dab into your face and throat area.

Because it is a carrier oil, do not use it on a collar or a pillowcase as you can with our blends or pure essential oils. It will leave a mark.  Do not use in a diffuser at all as it is not a volatile oil and cannot be broken up into small molecules in order to diffuse into your home.
